We are pleased to invite you as our guest to the closing event for our current exhibitions, ‘Press Play and Record’ and ‘This Must Be the Place’ on Friday 30 June 2017, 5-8pm.

‘Press Play and Record’ brings together a body of work created by EC Davies over the last three years. This includes video, animation, sound works and textiles, developing aspects of her collaborations with choirs in Berlin and North East England. During the exhibition visitors were filmed by Davies wearing love heart decorated balaclavas and these contributions have been added to the video work, Follow My Leader. You are invited to see the work in its latest form before it travels to Berlin as part of Davies’ exhibition at rosalux gallery, opening on 7July.

In his exhibition ‘This Must Be the Place’ Narbi Price researches the precise location of a chosen event, ranging from significant moments in music, film and TV, whimsical acts, through to places of violence and death amongst others. Working from photographs taken at the site, he makes paintings in the studio focussing on the abstract, formal and painterly qualities of the resultant images.
